So long...

How sad it is to see you go. You brought such joy into our home. Fond memories were hung upon you. Hopes and dreams were made around you. Wishes fulfilled under your steady watch. You filled children with a kind of excitement that can not be rivaled.

And yet, you could not stay. Your time in our home could only be a brief visit. Your presence always comes with an experation date.

It is with a hint of sadness that we must once again pack away the memories. There is no excitement or fanfare for your departure, not like there was for your arrival. The mood around you is different now. The time has come, as it does each year, to pack you away.

So long Christmas tree. See you again next year.
